  • Reindeer Rush

    We have had a very busy day at Calder Vale today. First thing this morning we ran our Reindeer Rush - we totalled 183 laps which is 18.3 miles! An amazing effort from everyone! Sponsor money needs to be in by Friday for School Council to add up and send off to St. John's Hospice.

    Well done school council for organising a very successful Children In Need day - we raised £57! This afternoon we added in fitness stations to our daily mile - a star jump, press up, etc for each birthday! Mrs Mather could not do 40 star jumps!

  • 'Nowhere Emporium' Creative Writing Competition Winner

    We are very proud to announce the winner of our 'Nowhere Emporium' Creative Writing Competition. This Year 5 pupil has mastered every skill Mrs. Mather has taught him and used them all to stunning effect to write his own version of the story. Can't wait to see what he writes with his new dragon fountain pen!
  • Goodbye Mrs O'Brien

    We said goodbye to Mrs. O'Brien yesterday. She has been an asset to our school and made such a positive difference to all our lives - both staff and children. We are so thankful for everything she has done - we will miss her!
