Our Community
Calder Vale St. John's in the Community
We know what an important role our school plays in our village community and in the wider local area. We hold an event every term which we invite the church congregation and the village community to. These events have included:
An Afternoon Tea for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee
We led our own Jubilee Celebration Service in school and together with the ladies from church and support from our parents and carers, we put on a special party tea for our school, church and village community. The event was very well attended and it was lovely to meet so many ex-pupils of our school and hear how things have changed.
A Harvest Tea
We held a harvest service in school and invited everyone to have an indoor picnic with us.
A Christmas Performance for our Village
We also play an active role in events in the wider community. Our float took 3rd place in the Garstang Children's Festival this year and we also entered the Scarecrow Festival!
